Introducing.... The Feminine Touch

First in the series of many, i will be introducing you to some of the wonderful shops on Etsy.  Mine and all the featured shop share two things in common. 1. they are all UK Sellers and 2. They are part of a team called CraftBritannia .

Fem loves to create new items from old, like this Recycled Wool Cushion Cover or create something completely new.

There are many catagories within Fem's Shop and within those over 100 items and it would be a very long winded blog if i showed you every item.  Instead i shall show you a couple of my favourites and leave the exploring to you.

Hand Warmers                                      Clutch Bag

The Hand Warmers are made from lovely Turquoise Mohair that also has hints of pink and purple.  These would be perfect for when you want to keep your wrists warm but still need to do things.  I particularly like to wear wrist warmers when i am cold but need to be able to type on the computer or use my smart phone.

The Clutch Bag is knitted with 100% wool in a lovely Aubergine colour.  To keep with Fem's recycled theme the lining of the bag is made from a section of recycled jumper that has been felted.

Introducing...

I feel so embarrassed that i have not been here to blog for ages.

Anyway, the reason for my blog today is to introduce to some new links that i have added over on the right side of this page.  These links are to some of my fellow Etsy sellers in the UK.  In the following weeks i will be writing a blog on each of them so that i may share a little of what wonderful items they make.

Babies wrapped in Granny Squares

Hi,  I been busy making and listing some Granny Square blankets just for Babies.  They are now listed in my Etsy shop. 

I am pleased with how the shops inventory is increasing and many of the blankets that are listed can be remade again and again, so do not worry if the one you want has sold out drop me a message and I create a custom listing.

Biscornu Pincushions

I have had a busy week but have managed to fit in a bit of creativity - I have been making a few Biscornu Pincushions this week  (available in my Etsy shop)

Why Biscornu? 

Have you ever had a moment when your OH has completely forgotten to buy anything for his Mum's Birthday?  Well this happened to me last week and i was looking in my craft supplies and looking on the Internet to see what i could make for her.....  She loves sewing and i thought that a Pincushion would be a lovely gift - i then remembered getting a craft newsletter through email for the Biscornu Pincushions and thought that it would be a perfect present. 

Anyway... I loved how quick they make up and the endless possibilities for patterns and thought they would be a wonderful addition to my shop.

Hi,  I was asked the other day for a custom listing from a lady that ordered a baby blanket, actually it was the one i featured in an earlier Blog posting.  The custom listing was for a beenie, booties and mittens in the same colours to match the blanket.

I am not sure why i had not thought of selling these before!
